CRPF celebrates New Year in Novel Way in Rayagada

CRPFRayagada, Jan 4: New year 2016 celebration by 4th Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF), Rayagada under the leadership of Shri M.K.Sharma (Commandant) was held in Rayagada in a novel way. When entire district was rejoicing with fun, feast and congregations, our committed para-military force decided to go beyond the traditional role of keeping law and order for restoring peace in the area and part with their valuable time and resources with the destitute of the town.

Shri Sharma with Shri M.K.Sicon (Second-in-Commandant), Shri Ch. Bobby Singh (Second-in-Commandant), Shri K.S. Giri (Dy. Comandant), Shri Niranjan Sahoo (Dy. Commandant), Shri Dhiraj Sithole (Asst Commandant), Shri Ajay Kumar (Asst Commandant) after visiting the Collector and S.P Rayagada, visited the Seva Samaj orphanage housing tiny girls  and Shakti old age home and celebrated the new year with orphan girl children and old age persons, presented them with a bunch of gifts and wished them Happy and Prosperous life.

While the destitute girls could get a parental feeling, the old people felt as if their own children came forward on the eve of New Year to protect & take care of them. The denizens have liked this process of police-public interface and the humanness of the police force who are viewed as very harsh entities. Mr Sharma with his team has been able to explode this myth of harshness.
