JNU Odisha Students’ Association conducts Annual Election

Bhubaneswar, Oct 25: Odisha Students’ Association, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi has successfully conducted it Annual Election for the Academic Year 2015-2016 on Saturday convened at Administrative Block.

Large number of Odisha students across Delhi have participated and in the debate of executive board, all the candidates have raised various issues on under development of Odisha, cultural marginalization, linguistic discrimination, and most importantly the questions of women empowerment and their representation in all the spheres of lives were discussed.

Further, higher education and lack of facilities for research and training in Odisha and to connect all the Odia researchers across India through organising national and international seminars and workshops was mandated by all the candidates for different posts.

Lastly, it was also suggested by the student body to create a corpus fund to facilitate the economic deprived students and for their health’s and educational purposes.
