Orientation Programme on WASH held at Bhubaneswar

WASHIn an attempt to  ensure  better  health & nutritional  status  of school  going  children  through improved  safe drinking  water , sanitation & hygiene  under MDM  , an international child right  organization  named  save the children &  state level  voluntary organization center for child and women development (CCWD) have recently organized  a capacity building programme  for   the teacher  members of School management committee on WASH in Bhubaneswar.

The programme was conducted in association with School and Mass Education Department, Govt. of Odisha. As many as 25 Teachers, CRC participated in this programme.   M.S.khan, wash specialist of save the children oriented to the members on water, sanitation & hygiene for better health development of children.

The organizers also demonstrated on hand wash to remain hygienic. It is to be noted that  the aim  of the project  is to ensure  better  health & nutritional status  of the  school going children  by reducing  the incidents of child hood  illnesses like diarrhea and other water borne infections  through improved hygiene and sanitation  in  25 targeted schools  of 25 slums of Bhubaneswar.
