Tejeswar Parida completes 11-Day Exploration Visit to 3 KBK Districts

Tejeswar Parida completes 11-Day visit to KoraputBhubaeswar, Sep 4: Following directive from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at a review meeting of MSME department,  Tejeswar Parida, President, Odisha Khadi and Village Industries Board of Government of Odisha visited undivided Koraput district recently.

Parida completed 11-day exploration visit to Koraput district from August 19 to 29. He explored the areas of Nabarangpur, Rayagada and Koraput. He along with eight-member team visited all blocks of the undivided district and took stock of the problems being faced by the weavers and other agro product workers associated with village industries.

He said that the Odisha government under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Minister Jogendra Behera has been working for the upliftment of the people associated with Khadi and other village industries. The government has been focusing on the proper implementation of the government scheme at Maoist-affect areas in the state.

Tejeswar Parida completes 11-Day visit to Koraput-1During his visit to Koraput district, Parida and his team visited around 40 blocks in Boipariguda, Semiliguda, Nandapur, Kundra nad Kotpad and explored village industries functioning. They interacted with weavers, bamboo workers and reviewed the prospect of village industries.

He also held discussion with representatives of Narayanpatna and Badhugaon panchayats during his visit to Laxmipur. Besides, he also attended several seminars and discussed about promotion of the agro products and other gram udhyog products with other intellectuals of the district.  In his visit, Parida reviewed many societies and interacted with people associated with those.

Jhina Hikaka, Member of Parliament Koraput Lok Sabha Constituency and Ramakant Raul extended their support to Parida during his visit to undivided Koraput district. Jhina Hikaka promised to construct Common Work-shed, Firing Shed in the district using MP LAD fund for the upliftment and promotion of gram udyog products.

Parida revealed that in order to promote the products of KBK districts, a fair would be organized in Bhubaneswar during October-November, where agro and other products from KBK districts, Gajapati and Kandhamal would be featured.
