ECI transfers Bihar Home Secretary, 16 Others ahead of Polls

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken an unprecedented decision last night by transferring Bihar Home Secretary Amir Subhani, 9 IAS officers and 7 police officials. The EC has posted senior IAS officer of 1983 batch Sudhir Kumar Rakesh as the new Home Secretary of Bihar.

Patna District Magistrate Sanjay Agarawal and Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj who recently were brought in to Patna by Nitish Kumar government, have been transferred to their previous posting.

Other District Magistrates, who were transferred by the ECI, included Kumar Ravi, Devesh Sehera, Bala Murugan D, Kuldip Narayan, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Gopal Meena and M Ramchandrudu. The IPS Officers, who were transferred, included Vikas Vaidhav, Manu Maharaj, Nishant Tiwari, Vikas Burman, Ms Kim, Deepak Burnwal and Ms Garima Malik.
