FTII Students to meet I&B Minister at 3 PM to resolve Impasse

The row over the appointment of BJP leader and TV Actor Gajendra Chauhan as the Chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), could be resolved today, as the students of the institute will meet Information & Broadcasting (I&B) Minister Arun Jaitley at 3 PM today. Chauhan’s appointment has triggered a major controversy, as students had launched an indefinite strike over 15 days ago and it’s still continuing.

The FTII Students’ Association (FSA) have demanded the immediate revocation of Chauhan’s appointment, questioning his experience, creativity and credentials to head the a reputed institute like FTII.
