IAS Topper Ira Singhal to be Brand Ambassador of Schemes for Disabled

Civil Services 2014 topper Ira Singhal from Delhi, has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador of all government schemes for people with disabilities. She will be the face of Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. It was confirmed by Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawar Chand Gehlot.

Ira Singhal, who is suffering from Scoliosis, a spine-related disorder, has clinched the top position in her fourth attempt. She was denied admission into ICS in 2010 due to the ailments, but won the case at the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) and inducted as the Assistant Commissioner in the Customs & Excise department of the Indian Revenue Services in 2014.
