L-G Najeeb Jung gives Sanction to prosecute Somnath Bharti

Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has approved the sanction to begin police prosecution against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and former Law Minister Somnath Bharti in connection with the January 2014 Khirki Extension case. At least 15 women had become victim of that midnight raid and complained and recorded their statements against Bharti, who is accused of of assaulting and criminally intimidating Ugandan women living in the locality.
