Navjot Singh Sidhu joins Congress, may contest from Amritsar-East

Cricketer turned politician Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday formally joined Congress and said “This is my ghar wapsi”. Sidhu declared himself a “born Congressman” who quit the BJP in September.

Ajay Maken welcomed Navjot Singh Sidhu at Congress party Head Quarter in Delhi today.

Earlier on Sunday, Sidhu had met Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi ahead of assembly poll in Punjab.

Navjot Singh is expected to contest the Punjab polls from Amritsar East.
