Rajya Sabha adjourned, as Opposition takes on PM Modi

The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 12 PM after a pandemonium occurred in the House over several issues related to PM Modi. The Congress and JD(U) opposed to the appointment of Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind without consulting CM Nitish Kumar. Congress also questioned why PM did not take CMs of Nagaland, Manipur, Assam and Arunchal Pradesh into confidence.

Further, PM’s remarks on Nitish and Lalu at the Gaya rally, did not go well with the opposition. They accused the PM of damaging the federal structure and asked him to exercise restraint in his language and tone being the PM of the country.
