Rape Accused Saudi Diplomat Majed Hassan Ashoor leaves India

Saudi Diplomat Majed Hassan Ashoor, who is accused of Gangrape, left India while the probe is on. The MEA had requested the Saudi Embassy to withdraw his diplomatic immunity after the rape and sodomy charges against him were confirmed. Two Nepalese women were targeted by the Diplomat and his aides.

The MEA can’t do much as per the Vienna Convention, but must put pressure on Saudi Arabia to try the Diplomat and punish him, as the rape and sodomy charges confirmed in the probe. The probe reports must be shared with the Saudi Arabia government.
