SC rejects Surendranath’s claims on Resignation as Dy Registrar

Anup SurendranathThe Supreme Court has rejected Prof. Anup Surendranath’s claims by releasing a copy of his resignation letter to prove that he had resigned to complete his research project at the National Law University in Delhi.

“His resignation from the post of Dy. Registrar of the SC had nothing to do with Yakub Memon case,” says Supreme Court.The apex court also asked the print as well as the electronic media to present the facts before the public.

Surendranath, who was a casual employee at the Supreme Court, had cited his obligation to complete the research work while submitting his resignation. But, in his Facebook posts, he claimed that he resigned in protest against SC’s decision to execute 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon.
