Sushma Row: Smriti Irani takes on Sonia Gandhi, Rahul

HRD Minister Smriti Irani hit back at Sonia Gandhi for her ‘theatrical’ or ‘dramebaaz’ remarks against Sushma Swaraj, saying it is easier to give a 1.5 minute bite than a 1.5 hour speech without reading from any text. On Sonia Gandhi describing Ms Swaraj’s statement in Parliament on Thursday as “theatrics,” Smriti asked, “Is Parliament a theatre?”

With reference to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of bribery against Sushma Swaraj, Smriti hit out at the Gandhi scion, saying the Gandhis are “not used to working in the sun to earn money” unlike Sushma and her daughter.
