Twitter officially expands characters count to 280

To make the social media platform more accessible and to make it easier for users to express their  thoughts in better way, Twitter has universally expanded character count to 280 starting today,  the social media network has announced.

Earlier, Twitter has limited its users to 140 characters per tweet since its launch in 2006.

Reportedly, Twitter has about 330 million monthly active users around the world.
