Assembly Elections 2018: ECI Trends at 2 PM

ONI Bureau: Here are the trends for assembly elections in 5 States as per the Election Commission of India. Congress has swept Chhattisgarh and BJP does not stand any chance for a fightback there. Similarly, TRS has swept Telangana. MNF is going to form the next government in Mizoram.

However, things are changing quick in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. There is a neck and neck fight between Congress and BJP in Madhya Pradesh. Both parties are almost tied and others, including SP, BSP and Independents may hold the key there. At least 19 seats in Madhya Pradesh are witnessing tough fight. Margin remains less than 500. These seats can go either way.

In Rajasthan, Congress is ahead of BJP and may get majority. If it fails, it may still form the Government there with the support of BSP, Left and other parties.
