Trump Impact: Pakistan bans Hafiz Saeed’s JuD

ONI Bureau: Hours after US President Donald Trump tore into Pakistan by launching a scathing attack on that rogue country for providing safe haven to terrorists, the Pak administration swung into action and banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) from collecting funds.

Pakistan’s financial regulatory body banned two organisations Jamaat-ud Dawa and Falah-i-Insaniat Foundation from collecting donations. JuD is the front organisation of bnned LeT. It’s headed by 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

Among others, the Falah-i-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), the Paasban-i-Ahle-Hadith and Pasban-i-Kashmir were also banned.

Pakistan buckled under pressure after Trump took to Twitter in an unprecedented manner with hard hitting words against that country.

Trump’s aggressive posture vindicates India’s stand that Pakistan remains a safe haven for terrorists, who are backed and nurtured by the Pak agencies to unleash war against India. And, ironically, Pakistan utilised the funds it received as a reward for its “fight against terror” in terror activities.

Pakistan can’t be trusted and we can’t rely heavily on the US too. India must write its own destiny and take steps to punish Pakistan in whatever way it can.
