101 Maoists Supporters surrender in Malkangiri

In a major setback to Maoists insurgency in the Malkangiri district, 101 Maoist supporters surrendered before Malkangiri Police on Monday.

The Naxal sympathizers are including 24 militant & 26 women of Badigata & Gandaguda villages.

Earlier, on Saturday over 100 Maoist supporters surrendered before Malkangiri Police in the presence of SP Mitrabhyanu Mohapatra.

Reportedly, the Ultras have opened recruitment camps in the forest areas to ensure that the locals do not ignore their diktat and forcing the locals to raise slogans hailing “martyrdom” of their associates killed in a police encounter.
