7th Pay Commission: POA submits demands to ECoR Chairman

ECoR submits demands to ChairmanBhubaneswar, Dec 8: A team of members of East Coast Railway Promottee Officers Association (ECoR POA) has submitted 15 points demands on the recommendation of 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) to Shri Rajev Vishnoi, General Manager, East Coast Railway (ECoR) for Chairman, Railway Board at Rail Sadan here on Monday.

The recommendations in favour of all promottee officers working in Indian Railways submitted by Indian Railway Promottee officers’ federation, New Delhi has not been considered and incorporated in the 7th Pay Commission alleged the delegates and stated that “group B officers” are the spinal cord of Railway organization and they usher in overall improvement in Railway System.

They also highlighted that the ministry of Railways has already recommended entry level pay of group ‘B’ officers in GP 5400/- which has not considered by the 7th  PC, Pay Commission has made several recommendations related to seniority, recruitment etc is not within the preview terms of reference which should be taken after close and detailed discussion with all the stake holders.

The entry level of all group-B officers on promotion in all organized services including miscellaneous cadre should be brought to one and equal level, the Pay Matrix proposed is based on 125% DA as on Jan 16 which has resulted is reducing take home salary for the employees /officers those who are residing in Govt. accommodation and not entitled for HRA.

The copy of the demand has also sent to Hon’ble Minister of Railways Shri Suresh Pravakar Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of State Railways, Secretary General, IRPOF, Rail Bhavan, New Delhi. R.C. Sahoo, President, Madan Mohan Patnaik, General Secretary, Saroj Kumar Sahu, Addl. General Secretary, J.L. Jena, Working President, S.K. Acharya, Vice-president and other team of members of ECoRPOAmet Shri Vishnoi and participated in the discussion.
