Anadi Sahu’s expose on Sanjeev Marik must be Probed

It’s a new story. We all know his antecedents. He was even suspended once for his links with anti-social elements and criminals. But, surprisingly, the same CM, who suspended him, yet again elevated him to the post of DGP while dumping and humiliating a honest DGP like Prakash Mishra and indulged in witch-hunting to ruin his career.

Yes, we are talking about Sanjeev Marik today. The controversial IPS officer, is under the scanner after former Police IG Anadi Sahu alleged that he (Marik) had close links with Dhalasamanta Brothers and pocketed Rs 7 crore from them.

“On one occasion, Rs 2.5 crore had been transferred to his account from the brothers,” alleged Anadi Sahu. Marik’s former stenographer Rabindra Sethi, who was transferred recently, used to take care of his illegal transaction and invest those money at various places, he alleged.

It’s a serious charge and needs to be probed without any exception if the Odisha CM really bothers about justice. Several other charges were also made against Sanjeev Marik, who refuted all, but as an Ex-IG making the revelations, they need definite attention.
