BJD, BJP Workers clash in Angul; SP Kavita Jalan Injured

The battle between BJD and BJP has intensified further, as some BJD workers sought to beat up the BJP demonstrators, who were holding black flag protests against Minister Sanjay Dasburma in Angul.

While around 30 BJP workers, including former MP Rudranarayan Pany were detained, the clashes still broke out because of the intervention of BJD workers.

Angul SP Kavita Jalan was arrested in the scuffle when she was trying to calm down the aggressive BJD workers, who were thrashing the BJP protesters. Earlier, BJD workers had beaten up BJP cadres at Manamunda in Boudh yesterday, drawing widespread criticism across the state.
