BJP President Amit Shah to visit Odisha on Jan 6
BJP’s national President and ‘Man of the Moment’ Amit Shah will come on a two-day visit to Odisha on January 6 and 7. Shah is expected to hold key meetings with senior party leaders and other functionaries to galvanize them.
Amit Shah has already asked the state unit of the BJP to prepare for mid-term polls in Odisha in 2016. With the CBI getting deep into the BJD top brass, he believes that Naveen Patnaik government will collapse on its own by 2016.
Amit Shah, who guided BJP to a victory in Lok Sabha polls in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and then powered the party to win assembly polls in Haryana and Maharashtra, has now set his focus on West Bengal and Odisha, where chit fund scam has created a huge uproar.
In a major development today, senior BJD leader Bhagirathi Sethi, who was denied ticket from Anandpur despite being the sitting MLA, has joined the BJP today.
