BJP slams BJD’s State-wide Human Chain plan for Biju Birth Centenary

The State unit of BJP on Tuesday criticized ruling BJD for its plan to organise human chain across the State to celebrate the Birth Centenary of the former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.

The BJP State Vice President Sameer Mohanty alleged that government officials will be used in BJD’s own political programme and government fund is also being used for the campaign.

Notably, the state government has planned to organize a 30-km long human chain in Bhubaneswar on November 23. Similar human chains would also be organized in all the block and district headquarters across the state.

In this connection, the Panchayati Raj Department has sent letter to all Block Development Officers (BDOs) to arrange preparation for the human chain.
