Congress Block Gherao turns violent in Koraput; Police detains Five

Koraput, Nov 7: The Odish Pradesh Congress Committee called block gherao on Friday over the farmers’ suicide in the state. The protest at Lamtaput Block office turned violent in which BDO Bhagawan Behera was injured.

The agitators rushed to the block office at Lamtaput, they started ransacking the office and pelted stones as they were not allowed into the office by the staff.

In the incident the BDO was injured, later who filed a written complaint with Machhkund police about the violence at his office by  agitators. In this connection the police detained five persons and started investigation into the incident.
