Cyclone Phethai: Odisha Collectors asked to submit Crop damage report

ONI Bureau:   Odisha Government on Wednesday sought reports from all district Collectors on crop damage due to unseasonal rains owing to cyclonic storm Phethai in the last one week.

Speaking to media, Revenue Minister Maheswar Mohanty said that all district Collectors have been directed to submit a list of affected farmers along with their bank accounts within a week.

While the State Government will assess the crop damage, adequate compensation will be disbursed for the farmers based on the damage assessment report to be submitted by district collectors, the Revenue Minister said.
