Cyclonic circulation: Heavy rainfall forecast for Southern Odisha

ONI Bureau: Various places in Southern districts of Odisha likely to experience more rains from Friday till Sunday as a cyclonic circulation shifting towards the south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coast and adjoining northwest-west central Bay of Bengal.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam districts under the influence of cyclonic circulation.

Though the rains continue till July 9 in southern parts, the cyclonic circulation could shift again northwards that may cause rainfall in north Odisha from July 10, the Centre for Environment and Climate (CEC) under the SOA University in Bhubaneswar informed on Thursday.
