Defamation Case: Former IG Sahu to appear before Court on April 5

Bhubaneswar, Mar 8: The Senior Division Civil Court has summoned former Inspector General (IG) of Police Anadi Sahu to appear on April 5 hearing the defamation case filed by former DGP Sanjeev Marik on Monday.

In its order the court directed Anadi Sahu, former MP, to appear physically or through an attorney.

Notably, on March 4, former DGP Marik filed a civil defamation case against Anadi Sahu under IPC Section 468 and demanded damages of Rs.50 lakh for tarnishing him image by linking him with the arrested Dhalasamanta brothers.

Former IG alleged Marik of having nexus with gangster brothers Sushil and Sushant Dhalasamanta. Anadi also alleged Marik of receiving Rs 7 crore from arrested D-brothers.
