Govt starts using Pre-Caste Technology in Housing Projects

In a bid to provide affordable housing to economically weaker sections in Bhubaneswar, the Govt has initiated steps for using pre-caste technology in construction of such projects. This has been discussed in a high level meeting held under chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sri Gokul Chandra Pati today in secretariat conference hall.

Discussion in the meeting reveal that earlier Sri Pati has advised BMC to adopt such technology for reducing the time required for construction of housing projects and to save the chances price escalation in the process.

Following his advice, a technical committee was constituted to examine the details of this technology. The committee was also asked to suggest a standard bid document for this type of projects. In the meanwhile, the committee has already submitted its reports.

The Vice Chairman, BDA Sri Krishan Kumar, present in the meeting appraised that the recommendations of the committee has also received in principle approval of BDA. Chief Secretary has advised Additional Chief Secretary Finance Sri R. Balkrishnan, present in the meeting  to examine the financial details and finalize the bid document within a week.

BDA has been directed to expedite the process for grounding of such housing projects. Development Commissioner Sri U.N. Behera , Director Estates Sri Ram Narayan Dash along with senior officers from concerned departments participated in discussions.
