Gynaecologist Sweta Padma Mishra commits Suicide in Bhubaneswar

Dr. Sweta Padma Mishra, a leading Gynaecologist at Jagannath Hospital, Sahid Nagar, committed suicide by jumping from the 8th floor of Banalata Apartment in Bhubnaeswar. Although she was staying on the 3rd floor of the Apartment, it’s not clear why she went to the 8th floor.

Sweta Padma was the wife of Dr. Arjit Mohapatra, a leading Child Specialist and Director of Jagannath Hospital, Sahid Nagar, Bhubneswar. They have a son.

Dr. Sweta Padma’s parents have filed a complaint with Sahid Nagar Police Station alleging dowry harassment. However, her mother-in-law has claimed that she was suffering from psychological disorder. The police have started investigation into the case.
