IAF Trainer Jet crashes in Mayurbhanj in Odisha, Pilots Safe

In a shocking incident, an Indian Air Force (IAF) trainer jet ‘Hawk’ A3492 crashed in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. The plane crashed into the agricultural field. Both pilots ejected on time and survived the crash. They are receiving medical attention.

The incident occurred at Kudarsahi village under  Bisoi police station. Another IAF helicopter rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation. The police have cordoned off the area. Fire tenders were deployed to douse the fire.

The reason behind the crash is not yet known. Both pilots had reportedly ejected using parachute. The plane had taken off from West Bengal. It was on a routine training exercise.
