Investors on Hospitality Projects to boost Tourism: Chief Secretary

FHRAI CSBhubaneswar, Sep 25: Investors interested to carry on hospitality industries in the state will be given all possible support in order to promote our tourism potential, said Sri Gokul Chandra Pati, Chief Secretary. Sri Pati was speaking to a group of investors during a talk on the possibilities of opening fresh avenues for hospitality industries.

The representatives of the Federation of Hotel and Restaurants Association of India coming to participate in the 50th Annual Convention of Federation at Bhubaneswar on the eve of World Tourism Day, made immediate response to start projects in the state. They were advised to a submit their expression of interest to start their projects on various choices of sites including Bhubaneswar, Puri, Rourkela, Jharsuguda and other places. They were also asked to work out their requirements after which the Government may go ahead.

Sri L. N. Gupta, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism said that his Department will extend all sorts of cooperation including provision of land through IDCO, in addition to other infrastructure like water, power, road connectivity etc. National and International hospitality agencies will be encouraged to start project in the state with better amenities for the domestic as well as foreign tourists to the state, rich in beaches, hills, temples and  architectures, wild life, tribal culture, historic monuments and cultural heritage, Sri Gupta said. Earlier, Sri Gupta had separate talks with the representatives of investors.
