Kandhamal Killings: SIT to submit evidence in Court today

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the State Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC) directed by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to probe the incident on Kandhamal killings will submit the report before court today.

The SIT was formed to probe the incident on the shocking death of five innocent villagers, who were killed during the crossfire between Maoists and the security forces near Gumudumaha village of Kurtamgarh panchayat under Baliguda police limits on July 8.

The team will submit 15 guns seized from SOG jawans, empty cartridges, and the clothes of the deceased before the Baliguda Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court which will be taken to the forensic science laboratory for test.
