Kanhaiya Kumar faces strong protests in Odisha

Former JNU Students Union President Kanhaiya Kumar on Monday visited Odisha to address the Ajaadi Samavesh to mark the completion of 80 years of the All India Student Federation (AISF).

Though the Commissionerate Police have made tight security arrangements on his visit, Kanhaiya  Kumar faced strong protests before he reached the venue.

He was shown black flags by Akhila  Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists and the stage was reportedly set on fire.

while addressing the occasion, Kanhaiya hailed Naveen Patnaik and Nitish Kumar for severing ties with the BJP,  and slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his pro-capitalist policies.
