Lawyer-Police Scuffle in Cuttack; Lawyers call for cease-work tomorrow

ONI Bureau:  Tension prevailed at Chauliaganj police station area in Cuttack today, after hundreds of lawyer gheraoed the police station protesting against the thrashing of a lawyer last night near Nua Bazaar bridge in Cuttack.

Protesting the ‘barbarism’ of Police, Odisha Bar Council called for cease-work strike by lawyers across the state tomorrow, informed Secretary of Bar Association Satyabrata Mohanty.

Meanwhile, a PCR van was set on fire by lawyers in front of RDC office in Cuttack today.
