Mahanadi Row: BJD Team visits Chhatisgarh today

A 12 member BJD delegation has reached at Chhattisgarh today to take an on-spot assessment of the construction of various projects over Mahanadi.

Meanwhile, the Water Resources Minister of Chhattisgarh Brijmohan Agrawal said there is no need of BJD’s team-visit to the spot as the Chhattisgarh government already sent all the facts to the Odisha government regarding the construction of barrages.

Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi has also warned to stage demonstration against visiting BJD team.

The BJD team, before going to the neighbouring state, inspected the affected areas of Kelo project in Jharsuguda area of Odisha.

Notably, the team, headed by Rajya Sabha Member Prasanna Acharya, includes the  Ministers Debi Prasad Mishra, Pradip Kumar Amat and Sanjay Dasburma.
