Mahanadi Row: Narasingh Mishra urges CM to attend all-party meet on August 3

Narasingh MishraLeader of Opposition Narasingh Mishra urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to attend the all party meeting on Tuesday over Chhattisgarh’s construction of barrages and dams on the Mahanadi.

Interestingly, it is the third time that Mishra requested the Chief Minister to call an all party meeting or attend the all party meeting called by the opposition party over the Mahanadi river dispute.

The all-party meeting, called by the opposition party, is  scheduled to held  at Hotel Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar. Parties like Congress, BJP, CPI, CPI(M) and others will participate in the meeting. In addition, some prominent NGOs, experts, intellectuals and other eminent personalities will also attend the meeting.

Mishra said to media persons that the CM and the ruling BJD party ignored his request for an all-party meeting over the Mahanadi row. Earlier, he had written to the Chief Minister on the issue twice but did not find any interest of CM on this issue, Mishra added.
