Maoists abduct another villager suspecting Police Informer

Malkangiri, Oct 21: Maoists have abducted a tribal from his house on Tuesday evening in Malkangiri district. According to reports, a group of Maoists with arms entered into Dandipar village under Mathili police station jurisdiction. They abducted Vima from his house suspecting him as police informer.

Few days back they abducted two villagers suspecting them as police informer. One hostage was killed by the Maoists while another managed to escape from their area. Maoists have intensified their activities following villagers surrendering to police and strong combing operation in the area by the security forces.

Prior to abducting the two villagers, the Maoists had kidnapped a truck driver after setting his vehicle on fire. It is noteworthy that, in the month of September more than 800 Maoists supporters had surrendered before police and the forces had busted a major gun factory of Maoists outfit.
