Mayurbhanj BJP President held in land fraud case

Insight Bureau:  Commissionerate Police on Sunday arrested Krushnachandra Mohapatra,  President of BJP’s Mayurbhanj Unit in connection with a land fraud case.

Earlier the Commissionerate police from Bhubaneswar along with Baripada police raided the house of Mohapatra in Baripada late Friday night but could not find Mohapatra and retuned empty-handed.

Sources said that the raid was conducted after a person of Patia area in Bhubaneswar accused Mohapatra of duping him of Rs 1 Cr on the pretext of providing a plot.

However, the Party State President Basant Panda informed that arrest of Krushna Chandra Mohapatra is a conspiracy; he will not be suspended.
