Mindtree Founder Subroto Bagchi to head Odisha Skill Development Authority

Mindtree cofounder and former chairman Subroto Bagchi has been selected by the government of Odisha to head the state’s Skill Development Authority.

Bagchi has decided to draw a salary of Re 1 per year for this role. Bagchi will be given all the support necessary to make a difference to the youth of the state.

He will visit all 30 districts of the state to get understanding of the initiatives in ground level and will submit his recommendations based on which, a detailed programme will be worked out.

Odisha Skill Development Authority aims to create momentum for unemployed youth and provide them skill-based training to make them employable.
