Monsoon reaches Odisha; to cover whole part in 48 Hrs

ONI Bureau: The much-awaited South-West monsoon has touched Odisha on Friday, 2 days ahead of the scheduled date informed Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

The Monsoon will touch southern parts of the state in the next 24 hours and it would cover entire Odisha in the next 48 hours.

The MeT said the low pressure here is likely to strengthen into a depression by Saturday, causing heavy rains in West Bengal and parts of Odisha. As a result Odisha gets Southwest Monsoon in advance this time. Several parts of the State including Bhubaneswar, Malkangiri received heavy showers in the afternoon.
