Odia Actor Anupam Panda arrested for Abusive Chat

Odia actor Anupam Panda was arrested on Thursday by Kharvel Nagar police for obscene chatting and blackmailing a woman on Facebook.

Police has forwarded the accused to the court and was later sent to jail after rejection of his bail pleas.

Anupam, who came into limelight with his film “Flashback” in the year 2015, allegedly had an affair with the girl for more than 3 years. Both of them were in a relationship and the actor had been sexually exploiting her after promising to marry.

But the girl later found out that he was married and had a four year old son. After knowing this, when the victim wanted to end the relationship, Anupam tried to convince her repeatedly and said that he would divorce his wife for her.

When she refused to accept his proposal, he blackmailed her with some obscene pictures as he had snapped some photographs of their intimate moments and was threatening to post those on various social media sites, the girl alleged.
