Odia CRPF Jawan martyred days after Father’s Demise

ONI Bureau: CRPF Jawan from Odisha, Manoranjan Lenka was among the 9 security personnel killed in an ambush by the Maoists in Kistaram forest area of Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.

Manoranjan hails from Rebana Nuagaon in Brahmagiri block of Puri district. He had joined duty yesterday only after completing the 11thrituals of his father, who died recently. Just 30 minutes before the incident, he had a telephonic talk with his mother.

The incident came as a rude shock to his family, especially his mother, who was mourning his husband’s demise.

According to his Facebook profile, today is his Birthday. However, sources close to him have not verified it, saying it could be his unofficial birthday, not the official one.

The 9 CRPF Martyrs have been identifies as Ajay Kumar Yadav, Jitendra Singh, Shabit Ku Sharma, Manoj Singh, RKS Tomar, Manoranjan Lenka, Dharmendra Singh, Chandra H.S. and Laxman.
