Odisha Assembly discusses Deteriorating Education System

Odisha Assembly -1Bhubaneswar, Aug 27: Odisha Assembly discussed the motion “Deteriorating Education System: Agitating Teachers & Locked Schools” on Thursday on a peaceful note.

This motion was moved by the opposition parties in the assembly earlier. The legislators sought response from the School and mass education minister. During the motion, legislators have expressed their concern over the education quality and deteriorating education system.

Minister Debi Prasad Mishra replied to the house over the motion moved by the opposition over the deteriorating education system in the state.  He said that the state government has been taking necessary provisions to improve the quality of education in Odisha.

Replying to another question raised by a legislator, the minister said that some schools were closed in some districts, giving exact data of schools, he said that 197 schools in 26 districts have been closed following shortage of students.
