Odisha Bus Owners call Indefinite Strike from Dec 1

Bhubaneswar, Nov 16: Opposing the proposed hike in motor vehicles tax, All Odisha Bus Owners’ Association (AOBOA) called for strike from December 1.  The association members expressed their displeasure over the decision to hike the motor vehicles tax taken by Odisha Cabinet recently. They said that all the bus owners would join the strike opposing the hike in the tax.

The association has called for indefinite strike from December 1 and the strike will continue until their demands are fulfilled by the state government. The propose hike decision of the Odisha cabinet is likely to be discussed in Odisha Assembly during the winter session starting from December 1. The association has also submitted a memorandum to the state government to reconsider its demand to hike the motor vehicles tax.
