Odisha Chief Minister approves Proposal to set up 9 Courts

CHIEF MINISTER SHRI NAVEEN PATNAIK REVIEWING ON ACTIVITIES OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AT SECRETARIAT ON 2-6-2015.Bhubaneswar, Aug 17: Odisha government has decided to set up nine more court  as per the recommendations made by the Orissa High Court. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved a proposal to set up nine additional districts and session courts to speed up disposal of pending cases. The proposal was sent by the Law department.

As per the Law Department’s proposal, additional districts and session courts would be set up at Athamallik in Agul district, Karanjia in Mayurbhanj district, and Nimapada in Puri district. Apart from this, three additional districts judge-cum-vigilance special judge courts will be set up at Cuttack, Sundargarh and Angul. Three family courts will be set up in Nayagarh, Boudh and Nabarangpur.
