Odisha Chief Minister unveils Industrial Policy Resolution 2015

Bhubaneswar, Sep 3: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday unveiled the Industrial Policy Resolution 2015 at a ceremony here. He launched a website and mobile application ‘Invest Odisha’ to provide useful information to investors in various sectors in Odisha.

On the occasion, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Singapore National University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The state government has proposed to initiate industrial development fund for the industrial development in the state. The industrial policy 2015 has identified various focused sectors for next five years. Under the policy the government would aim to focus on sectors – auto, ancillary industries, agro & food processing, IT, tourism, civil aviation, pharma, handicrafts, textiles and petroleum.

Finance Minister, Pradip Amat, Chief Secretary, GC Pati, Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and many other dignitaries attended the launching ceremony. Odisha cabinet had approved the industrial policy in August 2015.
