Odisha CM forms Committee to expedite Rehabilitation Appointments

Naveen-Rain-WaterBhubabneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik asked to form a committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary G. C. Pati to expedite rehabilitation appointments at government offices in the state. He directed concerned officials to expedite the rehabilitation appointments and clear the pending appointments of family members of deceased government employees within four months. The Chief Minister directed officials in a review meeting at State Secretariat on Tuesday.

The committee on rehabilitation appointments will be headed by the chief secretary of Odisha and development commissioner, additional chief secretary of finance department will be the members. The committee will look after the proper implantation of rehabilitation scheme and guard the interest of family members of deceased government employee who are applying for jobs under the rehabilitation scheme.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister asked officials to clear the distress certificate applications, which are pending for more than three months, by this month. He also directed officials over the pending cases on rehabilitation associated with martyr’s family.

It is noteworthy that, on July4, Sushant Nayak of Dhenkanal went rampage inside the State Secretariat and attacked an officer of Urban Development Department over the rehabilitation process.
