Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik felicitates Sand Artist Sudarsan Pattnaik

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik facilitated Sand Artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for winning Gold medal at International Sand Art Championship held at Russia. Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda and Tourism Department Principal Secretary Gagan Kumar Dhal were also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister congratulated Sudarsan Pattnaik and presented silver filigree Konark wheel and a shawl.

The Sand Artist made the sand art of 15 feet high “Mahatma Gandhi sculpture for non-violence and peace” in the sand art contest held at Moscow last Wednesday.

Sudarsan Pattnaik has represented India in 50 international Sand Sculpture championship and festivals all around the world and Won 27 (Twenty seven) championship prizes for the country.

He was awarded the Padma Shri by Government of India in 2014.
