Odisha Congress calls 12-hour Boudh Bandh

bandh-jharsugudaBhubaneswar, Jan 27:  Normal life in Boudh district have been disrupted following 12-hour bandh called by Congress party demanding fulfillment of its eight point-charter of demands on Wednesday.

During the bandh, many commuters were stranded at various bus stations in the district due to ceased vehicular movement. Congress activists were seen on road blocking vehicles movement. Supporting the band in the district major business establishments remained closed.

The impact of the dawn-to-dusk bandh by Congress was high in the district; schools, colleges and other education institutions remain closed. However, emergency services – medical shops, clinics, are operational in the district.

Congress party activists protested demanding resignation of block chairman for getting NFSA ration card, supply clean drinking water, recognition for old colleges and recruitment of doctors for hospital in the district.
