Odisha Police seized Rs 46 lakh Vedanta Scrap materials

As per sources Mr Samir Rout, IIC, Narla P.S   has caught one truck bearing regd no OD 18 8792 near Chhatiguda at the time of police checking yesterday. The vehicle was going to Rourkela with full of plant materials; being theft few days before. Later Vedanta officials came to Narla P.S and identified the materials such as Turbine Pipes, Iron Slabs, Coppers, Bearings, Plates, etc.

The approx cost of the seized material was Rs.41Lakh.Then police went to the spot with the driver and found another materials lying here and there. As suspected by Police, One Scrap Racket is doing the work and police are trying to catch the group very soon, said IIC, Narla P.S . Later in the afternoon Mr. Siba Dash,IIC,Munguda P.S got an information about some theft material from plant was kept in a forest near Panimunda in Muniguda Block. He with his team searched the area and found approx 06 Ton iron materials at that place. After the identification of material by Vedanta officials he logged a FIR against the culprits who are involved in this robbery.
