Odisha supports GST for Growth of Economy and Industry

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday morning attended a meeting of State Finance Ministers in Kolkata where he met finance ministers of 22 States and discussed on Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill.

Dr. Amit Mitra, Finance Minister of West Bengal and Chairman of Empowered Committee Presided over the meeting. Odisha Government was represented by Mr. R. Balkrishnan, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) And Mr. Saswat Mishra, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes.

Odisha government favours implementation of GST for growth of economy and industry.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitely said that the GST Bill has finally earned the virtually support of all States except Tamil Nadu.
